Be a part of planning events and opportunities for hundreds of general ALD PES members! All committee meetings will be on Zoom where you will meet with your committee chairs and members.

Here are some of the benefits of joining a committee:

- Networking with current board members as well as general members
- Meet new friends! :)
- Learn the ins and outs of planning and executing events, socials, panels, and/or workshops
- Earn ALD PES Points to earn Active Member Status and be recognized by the ALD PES community
- Get an inside look into potential officer positions to apply for in Spring Quarter

- Meeting time: Even week Thursdays 6:30-7:00pm
- Plan social activities (general membership socials)
- Plan activities with other campus groups
- Update a social calendar
- Plan for each social to be presented to the board at meetings at least one week before the social
- Organize innovative marketing activities to make the chapter more visible on campus
- Online giveaways (Blue Books, etc.)
- Notify membership outreach to spotlight officer birthdays
- Research venues, transportation, brainstorm ideas, etc.


- Meeting time: Odd week Wednesdays 7:00-7:30pm
- Plan activities for chapter participation on campus and with other neighboring chapters
- Coordinate with other organizations on campus to plan joint activities
- Work with committee members to delegate tasks and to ensure effective, enjoyable activities
- Work with Membership Outreach and Social Chairs
- Ensure there are pictures of each type of activity and that they are uploaded online
- Plan transportation to and from the service site


- Meeting time: Odd week Fridays 3-3:30pm
- Plan and set up resume, internship, interview, essay, graduate school application and/or research workshops
- Contact employers to recruit them for workshops and panels
- Maintain a list of resources regarding career and internship information
- Work with Membership Outreach and Design Committee to publicize opportunities/events
- Prepare students for opportunities outside the classroom
- Maintain a list of resources regarding career and internship information
- Research internships, jobs, and future career endeavors


- Meeting time: Second Thursday of each month 7-7:30pm
- Plan bruin walk fundraisers
- Research SOLE funding opportunities
- Write grant proposals
- Work with all committees to make sure there are enough funds for events


- Meeting time: even week Sundays 5-5:30pm

- Make graphics for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, website, etc.)
- Learn to use Canva & Photoshop
- Work with Membership Outreach to post engaging content
- Use your creativity :)
