Membership is selective and by invitation only. Students must earn a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.5 during the first quarter (minimum of 12 graded units) of their first year or a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 during their entire first year. A letter will be sent from the Office of the Dean of Students during the winter quarter after qualifying. Email notifications will also be sent out.
After paying a one-time fee, lifetime membership is conferred and an official induction ceremony is conducted during the spring. Members are not required to maintain a particular GPA or participate. However, many students keep up the momentum of high academic achievement and take advantage of the opportunities including activities, leadership positions, scholarships, workshops, etc.
